Founded in 2012, by wife and husband Emma and Saif Bakir, CMMN SWDN is a Malmö born brand, that combines their diverse backgrounds blending traditional tailoring with modern experimental elements. The design duo met in 2004 whilst studying at Central Saint Martins and later founded CMMN, which weaves together structure and fluidity, masculinity and femininity and restraint and rebellion.

CMMN SWDN’s collections are defined by precise tailoring, deconstructed elements and innovative textile work. The brand’s craftsmanship is a dialogue between past and present, highly focused on innovative fabric techniques with material printing that enhances their contemporary aesthetic. Their pieces are constructed in partnership with premium European manufacturers known for their skilled artisanal expertise. Well-tailored techniques merge modern production techniques to create wearable designs with an elevated technical foundation.
