Established by Eye Found Co. Ltd. in Japan, Reproduction of Found (ROF) is a footwear brand dedicated to receiving and reproducing archival military and training shoes from various armies worldwide, dating back from the 1950s to the 1990s. Their design are inspired by the footwear of military forces from countries such as Germany, France, the USA, Canada, Britain and Russia. ROF has gained a reputation for its meticulous research, historical homage and tastefully reinterpreting the military styles both in aesthetics and construction.

ROF places craftsmanship a the center of their ethos. Sneakers are produces in Eastern Europe, in workshops which have originally manufactured these sneakers before, using the same machines as at that time. Sneakers are made of premium Italian leather, suede and durable fabrics like Cordura nylon with integrates elements such as vulcanized rubber soles, cushioned interiors and reinforced stitching to ensure durability and comfort. The brand incorporates further skateboard inspired soles for better grip and wear resistance.

The brand also incorporates a heritage focused design elements in its sneakers by inscripting the insole of each pair with the reference model name and manufacturing country. ROF creates a direct connection between past and present while reinforcing their dedication towards preserving heritage and connecting each wearer to the shoe’s history.

The Reproduction of Found sneakers are minimalist timeless and functional, honoring the original military heritage, whilst modernizing with premium materials and subtle refinements. The brand’s most iconic model, the German Army Trainers (GATS) originally worn by the military in1970’s now reimagined for the everyday.
